Minddump is a brain dump app — the stuff you put in it is yours. We've designed every product decision around keeping your dumps private, encrypted, and under your control.
Your dumps stay private. We never sell or share them. Advanced encryption protects every entry. You can delete everything at any time.

Information you share with us

- Voice recordings — audio files when you use voice-to-text (processed securely and not stored permanently)

- Device information — device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility
- Crash reports — technical data to fix bugs and improve stability
How we protect your information
We treat your dumps the way you'd want them treated — encrypted in transit, encrypted at rest, and locked behind your device when you want.
- End-to-end encryption — entries are encrypted before leaving your device and stay protected throughout
- Biometric protection — Face ID, Touch ID, and device-level authentication keep your dumps accessible only to you
- Secure infrastructure — Firebase enterprise-grade security with regular audits and monitoring
- Automatic deletion — temporary data like voice recordings are deleted immediately after processing
AI and your privacy
Our AI reads what you dump in order to write a short reply, tag the mood, and surface weekly patterns. It does not read your dumps for any other purpose.
- Where possible, analysis happens on your device
- When cloud processing is needed, your data is anonymized
- Your personal entries are never read by our team members
- Processed data is immediately deleted after generating insights
We use Google's Gemini AI and OpenAI to generate replies and pattern insights. This processing is done securely and your data is not stored by these providers for training purposes.

Your rights and control
You maintain complete control over your personal information.
- Access your data — download all your dumps and insights
- Correct information — update or modify any personal information
- Delete everything — permanently remove your account and all associated data
- Opt out — disable specific features like analytics or notifications
- Data portability — export your data in a readable format
If you choose to delete your account, we provide a 15-day grace period during which you can restore everything by logging back in. After 15 days, all data is permanently and securely deleted.
International users
We respect privacy regulations worldwide and provide the same high level of protection to all users, regardless of location.
For EU users (GDPR)
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and provide all rights outlined above. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and our legitimate interest in providing a journaling and personal note-taking service. Minddump is not a medical, therapy, or healthcare service.
For California users (CCPA)
We provide California residents with additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
Children's privacy
Minddump is designed for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
